Da Bac island is the common name for three islands next together, its width about 6.3 ha. Away Ca Mau City about 40km by the road.
Belongs to Viet Nam territorial waters, if counted towards East Sea, the final island will be Hon Khoai. If counted towards Thailand gulf, Da Bac Island is the final Tourist Island. Down to Dat Mui, on the map it was drew one, two more small islands, but it seems these islands have not exploited yet. At least to Ca Mau people, they still think Da Bac Island is the final pearl, which the God dropped on the West Sea area… Just only leave Ca Mau City about 7 km, as stepped into the real legend road. The blue of trees, blue of water of canals at two sides mixed together very cool. The small asphalt road between two lines of tree look like a thread makes its way into blue cloth. Da Bac Island look likes a deep blue, round dot in the middle of sea. At dusk, waves are high and the wind blows in squalls. Step on the strong concrete bridge but still have feeling sensation, can be pulled out to the open sea by the wind at anytime. Da Bac islands nearer and nearer, while the very thin wooden boats are also bobbing on the wave from the bank to the island, from the island to the bank. Innumerable of stones with many kinds of shape lie scattered, intermix into trees and although they are usually flooded water by the tide, worn out by the wind with full of salt steam, these stones still have kept their twinkling, origin silver color. Da Bac Island is an ideal, ecological tourist area; natural landscape has still remained neglected. Just only on a small island, innumerable of legends have took place and passed from generation to generation from fairy yard, fairy well, fairy hand … to the story of Whale saved people on the sea. More stranger is in the open sea, on the island with nothing but stones, however shade trees, Buddhist trees, ancient trees still grow luxuriantly, full of vitality.
