Ngoc Hien is the final district of Ca Mau and the terminal area of Viet Nam. Covering an area of 130ha, Ngoc Hien is one of the largest natural bird sanctuaries in Viet Nam.
The Bay Hap River and the canal system run across this region surrounded by abundant green vegetation all year round, creating a safe ecological shelter for the birds. Ngoc Hien Bird Sanctuary is an ecological tourism site also used for studying the rare bird species that inhabit the area.
